  1. Cute site. I saw that you had listed the Dallas Zoo’s halloween event. Unfortunately, that information was from last year. This year, we’re doing something totally new — Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo! The new nighttime event will be held Oct. 28-31. Details follow:
The gates of the Dallas Zoo creep open at night for a celebration that will have the kids “howling” with laughter. The Zoo will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 6 p.m. for a not-so-scary Halloween celebration. Dress the ghouls and boys in costumes and watch the animals enjoy Halloween treats and other fun surprises. See the storybook characters in the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo. Work off your trick-or-treats from the fun themed booths with Witch-ercize and a Monster Mash with Witchy DJ. See the Heckling Witch and watch out for the Living Trees. Travel through the dark tunnel to the Wilds of Africa to see the friendly Giants …. of the Savanna. Ride a camel, feed a giraffe, take a backward spin on the Haunted Carousel, and have s’more fun than ever. Admission is $12 for ages 12+, $9 for ages 3-11, and free for age 2 and younger. DZS members receive a $2 discount for the evening event.
