The Palace Theater in Historic Downtown Grape has a great series of classic movies in October. Watch Jeff Bridges as “The Dude” Lebowski outwit a gang of kidnappers in Joel and Ethan Coen’s hilarious comedy, The Big Lebowski. The whole family will love seeing Star Wars and Casablanca. Fans of the Lumberjack Song, The Silly Wlalk and other Monty Python zaniness will want to attend all 3 days of Monty Python Madness this weekend.

Carol Cleveland, the “Girl Python” will be the special guest at Grapevine’s historic Palace Theatre for Python Madness. The at retrospective evening, hosted by KERA’s Bill Young will be a look back at the surprising history of this talented and lovely lady who was in the very first Python sketch, was so memorable in Holy Grail, and who was very nearly cut from Meaning of Life.

Located in Historic Downtown Grapevine, the Palace Arts Center has two theatres within one structure. The Palace, a traditional theatre, has a big screen for movies and a stage for theatrical or music productions. The theatre is equipped with comfortable mezzanine and balcony seating. The Lancaster Theatre is referred to as a “black box” theatre. The Lancaster can be set in any style. With its solid wood floors, brick and copper clad walls, the Lancaster presents ambience that is unsurpassed.
Concessions are available. Full-service catering can be provided through the catering department at the Grapevine Convention Center or by other area caterers. Admission for movies tickets is $5.00 at the box office.
