Weekend Planner: Staying Cool on Avenue Q

Winspear Opera House
Through June 6, 2010

This is  your last chance to see AVENUE Q at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. There are only 4 performances left. (Tonight at 8pm, Saturday @ 2pm & 8pm, Sunday @ 2pm)

I attended the opening night performance of Avenue Q at the AT & T Performing Arts Center last week. Avenue Q is unbelievably hilarious and entertaining. I absolutely loved the Bad Idea Bears. It is so different from any other show I’ve ever seen. It really is a must see. Don’t miss this Tony Award winning show. You will laugh out loud.

Avenue Q is about a young college graduate  who comes to the Big Apple  full of  dreams, but with empty pockets. The only neighborhood in his price range is Avenue Q. Meet the neighbors: Brian the out-of-work comedian and his fiancée Christmas Eve; Nicky the good-hearted slacker and his roommate, the Republican investment banker; an Internet addict called Trekkie Monster; and Kate, the  kindergarten teaching assistant. . I promise, this is the most hilarious neighborhood you have ever seen.

Warning the show contains adult situations and language. Avenue Q is NOT appropriate for children.

Order your tickets now. Groups of 10-20 or more may be eligible for certain ticket discounts and other benefits. Please contact Hillary Coyle at 214.978.2878 for additional information.

Steel

Every Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until close, Steel Restaurant & Lounge offers 50% off their  Award-winning wines by the bottle. What better way to end a hectic week, than by spending a relaxing evening with friends in the cool, contemporary zen-like atmosphere at Steel. Pair a lovely wine with one of their appetizers, like the House Spring Rolls, Vietnamese Egg Rolls with Lettuce Wraps or my favorite the  Crabmeat Mango Spring Rolls.
