Indulge Yourself at the 6th Annual Chocolate Fest in Grapevine

Chocoholics your dreams have come true.  On March 12 and 13, Grapevine, TX will  host the 6th annual Chocolate Fest, benifitting the  Travelers Aid Dallas/Fort Worth, a United Way agency that assists families and individuals facing a travel-related crisis or emergency.

You  can enjoy a delightful evening  indulging in the most decadent chocolates you’ve ever eaten, as well as exquisite hors d’oeuvres and fine wine at La Buena Vida Vineyards on March 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. You don’t want to miss this great opportunity to sample delicious chocolate treats, candy and desserts from area chocolatiers. The evening’s tasting event will take place at  Tickets may be purchased in advance for $35 or $40 at the door. Admission includes wine and chocolate tasting, live music, souvenir wineglass and participation in a silent auction.

La Buena Vida Vineyards is located at 416 E. College St. in Grapevine.

On Saturday, March 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – bring your sweet tooth and spend a day sampling more wonderful chocolate treats, while you  check out the  stunning works of art at the Palace Arts Center in Historic Downtown Grapevine. Art demonstrations and exhibits from local artisans will give  you a sweet and entertaining experience. Purchase your tickets in advance for $14.00 or $15.00 at the door. Your ticket  includes 10 delectable chocolate samples. Admittance for children ages seven and under is $5, and includes three chocolate samples.  Entertainment will be provided at both events.

Saturday, March 13, 2010; 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.: A Day of Chocolate and Art
Held at the Palace Arts Center in Historic Downtown Grapevine, Texas; Featuring chocolate sampling, art exhibits and sales, live music,contests and more!

All proceeds benefit the Travelers Aid at DFW International Airport. “Unfortunately, emerging situations and crises have increased during travel—including flight cancellations and delays,” said Bruce Freeman, executive director of Travelers Aid D/FW. “As a result, someone must be available to assist these individuals and families looking for aid…and that’s what we’re here to do. We appreciate everyone who attends Chocolate Fest to support Travelers Aid D/FW and all we do to help those in need.”
The non-profit organization has assisted distressed passengers at the DFW International Airport since 1974. The agency was heavily involved in assisting individuals stranded at the airport during 9/11 and helped evacuees from Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Ike. Travelers Aid D/FW also assists families and individuals who are in crisis, transition, or are separated from their normal support systems. The organization provides this assistance through four different programs: Client Intervention Program, Local Transportation Program, Volunteer Information Program, and Lost and Found.
