Indulge Your Inner Foodie with $5 Drinks and Dining on Tuesdays at One Arts Plaza
The One Arts Plaza restaurants near Uptown and the Arts District just announced a fun, new twist on happy hour, serving up delicious appetizers and inspired specialty cocktails for just $5 on Tuesdays.
The expanded happy hour menus allow diners to escape mid-week stress and indulge their inner foodie. The happy hour specials are available from 4:00 pm to closing on Tuesdays and range from chopped BBQ pork nachos to chimichangas and lobster ragu. With pleasant spring weather approaching, there is no better place to unwind than One Arts Plaza. A sample of each restaurant’s Tuesday happy hour menu is below.
Screen Door
Created by Chef David McMillan, the happy hour menu at Screen Door is packed with Southern twists and favorites including shrimp and grits, chopped BBQ pork nachos and house grilled pickled chilis, fried green tomatoes and chili buttermilk and meat loaf sliders. For those who prefer lighter fare, Screen Door offers a cup of hummus, olives and toast. Cocktails include SD Spiked Lemonade, Muscadine and Peach Sangria and a weekly cocktail special. The restaurant will also serve half price select American craft beers, house red, white wine and champagne.
Jorge’s Tex Mex Cafe
Beginning at 2 pm, you can choose from a variety of Tex Mex Tapas at Jorge’s that include Mexican Brisket minis, beef or chicken tostadas and authentic chorizo chimichangas with a side of queso. You can also opt to add a side for $3 like Esteban’s spicy side salad and Frutas de la Temporada, a Mexican street favorite. Jorge’s inventive drink specialties include Palomitas, a popular Mexican cocktail made of grapefruit soda and tequila, and a special margarita of the day.
Fedora
Chef Jordan Rogers created an inventive menu of Italian dishes for Fedora $5 happy hour Stuzzichino. You can expect spinach artichoke puff pastry, Pane e Aragosta (lobster ragu), Salumi e Formaggio, classic bruschetta, and Fedora’s famous meat balls and fried ravioli. Additionally, Fedora will serve a special $5 pear martini, well drinks and various wine varieties for $5 a glass.
Tei-An
The treats at Tei-An are offered for a later crowd, starting at 6:00 pm until closing. Patrons can enjoy Japanese classics like edamame and enoki mushroom tempura for $5 and under. Those looking for a spicier option can try the shishito peppers and wash them down with Kirin draft beer.
